1. Ownership

2. Ordering Goods

2.1 All orders placed through our website will be subject to our acceptance of the order.

 

2.2 When you submit an order to us on our website(s) you will receive a confirmation email of this order saying Thank you for your order. You will then receive a second email from us acknowledging that your order is being processed. You should check both emails for accuracy and let us know immediately if there are any errors. Neither of these emails constitute acceptance of the order by us. Your order will be accepted by us (and a contract will then be formed between us) when we have despatched your order which you will be advised of by a 3rd email. Title of the goods will pass to you once full payment has been received and you have taken delivery of your order.

 

2.3 If you wish to cancel your order it can only be done if it has not yet been despatched. If you need to return an item that has already been despatched please see our returns section.

 


 

3. Processing your orders and payment

3.1 Whilst it is our intention to keep our website up to date and error free, product description or pricing errors may occur. If we discover such an error after you have submitted an order to us, we will contact you prior to accepting your order with the correct details. You may then either cancel your order or re-confirm it based on the correct information. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat your order as cancelled.

 

3.2 All prices shown on our website’s are both exclusive and inclusive of VAT. We show both Ex VAT and INC VAT prices because we deal with both the Trade and DIY consumer.

4. Delivery

4.1 Some postal addresses in Northern / Southern Ireland, Highlands and offshore Islands of Great Britain are not covered by our standard shipping rates. These rates will be displayed when going through the checkout process.

 

4.2 Whilst we endeavour to deliver your goods as quickly as possible, we cannot guarantee a delivery date. We cannot accept liability for out of pocket expenses or other costs incurred due to failed or delayed deliveries.

 

4.3 All items are subject to stock availability.

 

4.4 When we deliver your items to you, you may be asked to sign for the goods to acknowledge that you have received them.

 

4.5 Please note that if you wish to return goods, you have 14 days from receipt of the goods to return them to us. For further information on returns please see the Returns section.

 

4.6 Once your order has been delivered to you and we have received payment in full you will become the owner of the goods. They will be held by you at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

 

4.7 Royal Mail - Most small items can be shipped via Royal Mail on their standard postal service, up to 3 highlighted items per order can be shipped via this service before it becomes too heavy and a courier service is required. If you choose to use the Royal Mail service there is no way of tracking the parcel, MAP (UK) cannot be held liable for any delay, loss or damage. If you would like a guaranteed delivery service via courier please select this service whilst going through our check out process.

 

4.8 Refusing a delivery once goods have left us - Please note that if you refuse goods from either Royal Mail or our chosen Courier once they have been sent to you, we reserve the right to bill you for both the cost of sending the item and the return costs to us. If you refuse an order without instruction from ourselves and it becomes lost in transit we will not refund the value of goods as all liability will have passed to the person who refused the delivery. Any losses or damage that occurs from lost parcels will be the responsibility of the person who ordered the goods.

 

4.9 Delivery not made as you were out at the time - If goods are returned to us due to you not being available when delivery is attempted we reserve the right to charge for return of the goods back to us by deducting the original delivery charge and return charge from any refund provided. Please note that we usually make at least 2 attempts to deliver goods and our couriers will also always leave a card for you to contact them prior to returning the goods to us, usually this will only occur if no reply is made once a card has been left.

 

4.10 Some of our items are very large and bulky. You the customer are responsible for ensuring that adequate space is available when delivering your goods. If we are unable to deliver due to restricted access or for any other reason a handling charge will be applied.

 


 

5. General

5.1 The use of our site and any contracts formed are governed by English law. For Overseas orders please contact us via email.

 

5.2 We shall not be responsible to you whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for incidental, special, indirect or consequential loss or damage, any loss of profit (direct or indirect), loss of sales, loss of goodwill or reputation, loss of business, third party claims, pure economic loss arising out of or in connection of the performance or non performance of our obligations under these terms and conditions including such damage as may be reasonably foreseeable at the date you order the goods.

 

5.3 Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or restrict our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

 

5.4 Our liability for any claim for loss or damage shall be limited to the sum paid by you for the goods.

 

5.5 A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have no right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

 

5.6 If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court the invalidity or unenforceability of such provision shall not affect the other provisions of these terms and conditions.

 

5.7 We may assign or transfer any of our rights or sub contract any of our obligations under these terms and conditions to any third party.

 

5.8 You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or sub contract any of your obligations under these terms and conditions except with our specific permission in writing.

If you do not receive the order placed by you within 30 days of the date on which you ordered them. We shall have no liability to you unless you notify MAP (UK) via E-mail of the problem within 40 days of your order date. Once you have notified MAP (UK) of a problem of this nature. Our obligation to you will be at our discretion: To make good any shortage and or non-delivery. To replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective. To refund the amount paid by you for the goods in question.

 


 

8. Guarantee / Warranty Details

All of our products carry a manufacturers guarantee (unless otherwise stated) covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage & does not cover consumables or wearable items.

 


 

9. Returns

Unwanted Items

9.1 You may only return an item that is unwanted under the following circumstances: The item is in an "as new condition". It must be returned to us in its original condition unused and in its original packaging which should not be marked or damaged (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product at all). It should be returned with the original box, packaging, and accessories. You must NOT write directly on the packaging. You notify us in writing by fax, letter or email within 7 working days of receipt of the item and return the item within 30 days. We recommend you keep a copy of this. The order was not an order for a business or company. Items not returned to us in an "as new condition" will not be refunded and any costs to return the items to you will have to be paid before we can return them. Please note that if an exchange for another item(s) is requested then you agree to the standard delivery charge that would apply to that item(s) if purchased through our checkout procedure on our website. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for lost returns so please ensure you return them via an appropriate courier or insured method as we do not accept any liability until received by us. All costs associated with the return of the unwanted item(s) are to be paid by you and the return must be made to the correct returns address. Goods should be returned with adequate protection to ensure that the goods and packaging reach us in good condition. If any goods are damaged in transit you will have to pursue a claim with your chosen courier or mail delivery service. All goods returned to us as unwanted will be examined upon return and any refunds / exchange will only be applied once final agreement has been made to accept the product(s) back in accordance with our terms & conditions. Any free or bundled items received with the product must also be returned. Any returns made, must be accompanied by an official returns number, this is obtained by contacting MAP (UK) directly using our contact details. Please use our Printable Returns Form as a covering note for the item. Failure to complete this form will lead to a delay with the processing of your return. Cancelling orders once payment has been made or returning unwanted items will incur a charge of 15% of the order total.
